Pregnant Belly Cake Tutorial
At this point I didn't glue anything down yet. It still needed to be easily transferred to the finished cake. Once you have it on the cake , and are happy with the placement of everything, you just need to dab a little water to make everything stick, like glue. Be careful not to add too much, or else the fondant will slide.
Also you will notice everything is really powdery at this stage. You need to keep everything dusted well, so it doesn't stick, but once you are finished assembling the cake, you can steam the fondant, or use a paintbrush to paint it with water (slightly) and this will take care of all that powder, along with making everything shine.
Do you want to see the finished cake?
It is so pretty, I really love the way it turned out.
Make sure to stop by and take a look.
Bella that cake is so very very cute...thanks for sharing I really enjoyed it. I am not planning on any more kids but if I know someone having a baby I will show them your cake. Good job.

ReplyDeleteBella! Would have commented earlier but your blog seems to crash my ipad haha. It won't load it. I did read what you wrote on LMM, I had never seen her before but I went to her blog and she actually pretty honest, revealing her pulling and all. I dont allow anonymous comments. Haters gonna hate!
