Here is a little info on this amazing mama, in her own words. 

I’m 37 years old and I have been sewing for over 25 years, yes - 25 years! Sew Crazy!

From making my own clothes as a kid, to drapes and duvet covers, I sewed it all! I was born and raised in a small town in Canada, mum and dad recognized early they were raising an artist. It started with superior finger painting in Kindergarten, and led to becoming the envy of my fashion-conscience friends in grade 8. In high school, I was offered many scholarships for my art but surprised everyone when I opted for an education in nursing. 

My choice took me from Canada to the United States to work at a trauma center in New Mexico. My calling kept whispering to me and I continued to create and to educate myself in the arts. Every time I got the chance, I took a class! I have studied raku pottery, painting techniques, quilting, sewing and photography, which comes in handy when I photograph my creations for my stores and blog.

Through my training, I met a wonderful lady who showed me the technique I presently use to make my wallets, passport covers, ID/Card holders, book covers, and calendar covers. I love it because it's funky and unique and I can really put my own style in to it. The best thing is the instant gratification with this form of 'quilting'. The pieces are small enough that it doesn't take as long as, say, a quilt!

Today, my husband and I live in Colorado and we are blessed with two young sons. Becoming a mom has opened up a whole new world of creative sewing to me. My cuddly snakes for boys and girls are one of a kind and one of my best sellers!

It is such a gift to have a 'job' that can be flexible and allow me to be at home for my family while doing what I absolutely love, I love sewing and creating items that I know people will absolutely love.
