GREEN DESK~~ I've made CONTACT people

A couple years ago, my brother gave me his old crappy, desk. It didn't match anything, but it was a desk, and I need one. So I took it, FREE, and have been using it since. Well, my kids have a way to turn said crappy ugly desk, into SUPER ugly, crappy desk, by taping and removing tape, and thus removing the black paper, that is covering this cardboard desk, he he. Actually it's pretty sturdy, I joke, but it SURE is ugly.

Ok, anyway, I have been wanting a new desk so bad, BUT, I don't want to fork over any money for one, since I already have one, lol. EVen if it is UGLY, which it is. BUT it works, and if you know me by now, I hate spending money on things, that I already have, or can make myself. Ok, so what to do then. On top of everything else, I decided to put this desk, smack dab in the middle of our living area, so EVERYONE can admire the UGLY desk, and laugh at how flippin CHEAP I am.

In October, while at Goodwill, I found some awesome contact paper, and got it for like a buck, or two.
I've been trying to figure out where to put it, and then it struck me. I can REDO my VERY UGLY desk.

And people, that's just what I did.

THE END!!

Oh the UGLINESS, and my sons origami, EVERYWHERE.....

Yikes, I know, I have been living with it like this forever now, shame on me, shame on me.....

Oh the UGLINESS, help is on the way.....

Measuring.....

Applying....

Cutting around stuff......

Smoothing it out......

Using a razor to trim around the edges.....

Bad bubbles, I will wipe you out now, thank you.....

More scruffs,,, erghhhhh

Thank you permanent marker.....

FREE stuff, I got from a neighbors trash, I PROMISE,,, it was so cool.....

WOW,,, is it better or WHAT????

Again, SHAME on me, for not doing this sooner......

My dad, LOVE YOU, and a paper wight he made, the flower thing on the left. A duct tape rose my son made me, and a little egg carton wiggly eye thing my princess made in preschool, just some trinkets, I love.

One of the FREE things, isn't it cute, think I will add a flower in it, instead of paperclips, who uses paperclips anyway, lol...

Something from Romania, my mom got a long time ago.

  3. oh wow - this really turned out great! I agree, it was on the very low end of the attractiveness scale before. Good job and such a pretty pattern! I love magic markers for erasing scuff marks too. Really is magic.

Thanks a mil for your help!

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, and baking. In fact my mother and I have been making cakes for over 30 years. I also love gardening, traveling, and all things crafty. I struggle daily to keep my like organized, along with my never ending battle to keep the house clean. I adore my three kids MOST of the time, and can usually be found doing the mom thing from morning till night. I try to catch a few mommy moments, but those are hard to find in this wonderful life of mine. I am blessed and happy, and am thrilled you stopped by today :)
